Children's Special Events

Children’s Ministry Extras

  • Vacation Bible School: We hold a VBS program every year. Registration usually begins after Easter.

  • Family Harvest Festival - The last Saturday of October Children's Ministry hosts a Family Harvest Festival filled with fun fall games, hay mountain climbing, trunk-r-treat, dinner, Christ centered message, hay ride, and culminates with a camp fire where we roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate as we sing praise songs to honor God. Our youth are encouraged to attend and participate in age appropriate games after the campfire.

  • Christmas pageant: We present a Christmas pageant every year. The children are all involved and practice starts the weekend before Thanksgiving.

  • Birthday Party for Jesus - The 3rd Sunday of December the entire Children's Ministry takes a break from our regular curriculum to celebrate the birth of Jesus with games, cake, Christmas specific entertainment, and a mission centered craft to help bring the excitement and joy of the greatest gift on Earth, Emmanuel, God with us!!! We invite our children to bring a friend to help us celebrate the joy of the season as we focus on the real meaning of the season.

  • Friendship Day - The 2nd Sunday of Februray we gather all the kids together during our carpet time, along with the buddies they brought with them, to talk about our forever friend, Jesus. The kids enjoy a friendship focused craft and a story of friendship found in the Bible, then they are dismissed to class for regularly scheduled curriculum and later share a special treat before being dismissed.

  • Children's Ministry Mission Projects - to help our kids understand the importance of being Christ's hands and feet in the world, we host a number of mission projects which provide our young ones the experience of DOING the word of God and showing love to the folks in our community. For a list of projects that our kids participate in, check out the Children's Ministry Mission Projects.
