Disciple

Whether you consider yourself a Christian, or are just considering Christianity, Disciple is for you.

Disciple is a class where you, along with a small group of others, will be be led through the Bible over 34 weeks.  During this time you will come to understand the "Big Picture" of what it means to be Christian, and may even come to a clearer understanding about your relationship with God.

Parents Helping Parents Support Group

Please join us September 5th from 11:30am - 1pm at the Ministry Center for our kickoff meeting.  ALL parents are invited to join us.  No matter if you have infants, teens or adult children....everyone is welcome.

The book we will be reading is ""Different Children, Different Needs: Understanding the Unique Personality of your Child" by Dr. Charles Boyd.  A review about the book states:

"God created each child with a specific bent.   Charlie Boyd will help you discover that bent and assist you in helping your children fulfill their God-ordained destiny."

Lunch and child care will be provided.  Please contact Scott or Joy Page at joyandscott@sugarloafnet.com  if you plan to attend so that: 1) a book can be ordered for you, 2) food will be provided    for you, and 3) your child's needs can be taken care of.

Youth Serve Locally

This year the FaithPoint youth decided to stay close to home for their annual mission trip.  Their destination this year?  Park Mills Road - and the home of our good friend Frank Rollins.  Frank's health has kept him from tending to his regular chores provided our youth with the perfect opportunity to step in and help out.  Frank's house received a complete interior and exterior makeover.

Sign Up Now for the Women's Retreat

It’s that time again. The Women’s Fellowship Weekend is fast approaching. This year we are returning to Camp Manidokan but to the newer building with air conditioning, if we need it. We are scheduled for October 8,9,10. The cost for the weekend is $130.00. We ask that a deposit of $75 be paid by Sept. 12 and the balance by Oct. 1. Checks can be put with the Sunday collection with Women’s Weekend in the memo space.

We will be discussing and viewing Sense and Sensibility this year. We have planned for devotions, crafts, time to meditate and a few surprises. You will have free time for hiking, visiting Harpers Ferry, etc.

We arrive Friday and the day is yours until we meet in the evening. All meals are included from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. We ask everyone to bring a snack to share and soda to share is optional. Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Lemonade are available.

More details and the final agenda will follow as the time approaches....

Play-Group

The Faithpoint Playgroup is a wonderful way for parents and pre-school children (infant - pre-k) to connect with other families of faith.  The group is casual, friendly, and supportive of each other.  There is no commitment, no homework, just a couple hours a month to relax, play, and enjoy each others company.  Meeting location varies depending on the weather.  If you want to be added to the playgroup email list, please contact Sharon Ernst at ernstmamma@yahoo.com.
